Just launched: A new cloud-based medical cannabis registry for South Dakota
Today’s constituents expect and deserve software that works in a modern way — and a core tenet of cloudPWR’s vision has always been that simple, secure, cloud-enabled tools can and should be available for government agencies and businesses of any size and any budget.
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of a new project that is the embodiment of that very tenet: Earlier this year, cloudPWR was chosen by the South Dakota Department of Health (SDDOH), along with our partners at Accela, to deliver a fully digital cannabis patient registry.
The platform is easy-to-use, secure, and purpose-built to provide the ideal solution for state and HIPAA compliant medical cannabis registries. Core attributes of the platform that further streamline and automate agency capabilities include:
- Modern public access portal
- Digital identification cards
- Robotic process automation workflow forms
- Integrated for citizen safety and enforcement
- Built with Microsoft Azure for superior compliance
After less than 8 weeks of development, the web application launched on Nov. 8 and SDDOH issued the first medical cannabis cards on November 18. We’re thrilled to be part of this solution to streamline the delivery of a resource that improves lives for patients across the state.
